The denial of unbelief

“He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses: And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.” Exodus 9:20, 21.

So Pharaoh seems to be a type of the unbelieving collective mind in his hardening of his heart and refusal to let the Israelites go. It’s very similar to all of the plagues and propaganda in the past four years and the incredible denial that is seen from those who believe what they’re told with confidence, even though they know nothing about it.

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Daniel 3:16–18.

The Daniel passage also depicts believers who stick with the Lord, but in their spirit of belief, do not assume a predictive “gift“ to what God will do. Their faith is not predicated on their expectation that God will fulfill their predictions.

I am also thinking about all of the predictions in the timeline and all the fallibility of those who are striving to accomplish a prediction of how and when God will fulfill his promises.

All the different numbers and dates that lineup seem to be God directing believers to exactly seek out the times of his predictions, and at the same time, he seems to also show the fallibility of the flesh of believers as well as unbelievers.
